Selective colour can be done in a couple of ways. You can find a subject with a strong dominant colour, a lady in red for example amongst people wearing drab colours. Or you can use a mode which some cameras have in which you can isolate a particular colour within a scene whilst all other colours are turned to B W. Either way this will be a session which will help us hunt down images and increase ones 'eye' for strong photographs.

We’ll then cover some of the advantages of shooting with a prime lens, and some basic techniques to using the 50mm lens. Great portrait photography session run by Sanro this weekend. He was very knowledgeable (including technical aspects e.g. light spectrums behind settings) and gave each of us individualised constructive feedback. I felt I really improved over the session and I have lots to get on a practice with. Sanro was so enthusiastic that the session went on longer than it should! It was great value for money - thank you so much Sanro!

I have lived in Greenwich for 22 years, just a short walk from the park, and as a photographer, I developed my technical foundation and creative eye during my Sculpture degree, where I trained on manual film cameras. I mainly use digital cameras now: Leica M9 & Q2 Monochrom and Nikon D750, but I also use a Leica M3 film camera.
I work at Thomas Tallis School, supporting students with autism, ADHD and language impairment, and I run an after-school photography club in the well-equipped photography department, which unusually, has a large darkroom!

Available most weekends for band photos (live or in exterior/interior settings), portraits and events.

One of my friends said to me when taking photographs don't choose the obvious. Don't opt for what is directly in front of you. Look back. Look to the side. Look up! Hence the different perspective. The image is also full of my favourites go to's, line, reflection and contrast. I was very fortunate that the weather was overcast that day. Otherwise some of the elements might have been lost in the bright sunshine.

This image is a Still Life Composition of "Berries, Wine and Grapes" that I created on a rainy day in my bedroom. I used no fancy Studio Lighting at all. My only light source was a hand-held flashlight that I kept moving rapidly. It was an experiment in Light Painting when I couldn't go outside to shoot.
